Meet Our Staff
                
Dominick A. Pulice, VMD


Dr. Pulice grew up in South Gibson, PA and received his B.S. degree in biology from the University of Scranton in 1979. In 1981, he received a M.S degree in Animal Industries from the Pennsylvania State University . He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1986, and practiced for three years in Harleysville before relocating to the Upper Perkiomen Valley and purchasing Perkiomen Animal Hospital from Dr. Warner in 1989.  Dr. Pulice is a member of the UPV Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the Business/Education Alliance. In addition, he serves on the UPV Library Board of Directors and the Executive Board of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Association. When he is not at work, or volunteering his time in the community he enjoys collecting tractors, gardening and cheering for the Nittany Lions. He currently lives in East Greenville with his wife Joanne, and their three daughters.

Mary E. Powers, VMD

Dr. Powers joined our practice in 1999 . She grew up in Allentown and attended  Messiah College , where she received her undergraduate degree, and competed on the Varsity Tennis team. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and currently lives in Palm with her husband Don and their three children. Dr. Powers' specific areas of interest include surgery, exotics, and internal medicine.

Mary K. Coughlin, VMD

Dr. Coughlin joined the Perkiomen Animal Hospital staff in June of 2005. She grew up in Perkiomenville, PA and received her B.A. in English from DeSales University. She worked for many years at Perkiomen Animal Hospital as a Kennel Attendant, Veterinary Assistant and Veterinary Technician before finishing her training from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Coughlin's areas of interests include critical care, surgery, ophthalmology and dentistry. When not at work, she enjoys horseback riding, reading and writing, and spending time with family and friends. And her fiance is slowly converting her to a NY yankees and Giants fan!

Andrew W. McManus, VMD

Dr. McManus joined our staff this year after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He previously received his B.S. in Biology from Penn State University. His professional interests include general medicine and surgery and oncology. In his free time, Dr. McManus enjoys playing roller hockey, following Philadelphia Eagles and Penn State football, and playing poker. He currently resides in Collegeville with his girlfriend, their pitbull, Mya, and two cats, Marty and Sid.

Jennifer A. Makem, VMD

Dr. Makem rejoined Perkiomen Animal Hospital in May of 2006. She grew up in Allentown and attended Moravian college, where she received her undergraduate degree. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 and currently lives in Allentown. Dr. Makem is an accomplished horseback rider and regularly competes with her American Saddlebred 'Beautiful Stranger OC'. Dr. Makem has a specific interest in Internal Medicine.


Joanne Pulice, Hospital Manager

Joanne received her undergraduate degree at the
University of Scranton and went on to receive an MBA from Drexel University in 1985. She oversees all operations at Perkiomen Animal Hospital , but her most difficult job is keeping Dr. Pulice out of trouble. She currently lives in East Greenville with her husband (Dr. Pulice), and their three daughters. She enjoys gardening, reading and her daily walks.

Linda, Head Veterinary Technician

Linda has worked at Perkiomen Animal Hospital as a Certified Animal Health Technician since 1994. Linda has a B.S. degree in Animal Science from Delaware Valley College . She oversees all hospitalized patients, daily treatments and procedures. She currently lives in Quakertown with her husband Joe and their household of furry children. Her experience and vast technical knowledge make her an invaluable asset to our hospital, and most importantly our patients.

Christie, Certified Veterinary Technician

Christie completed her training as a Certified Animal Health Technician from Manor College in 2001. She joined our staff in April, 2001.  Along with Linda and Tionne, Christie helps oversee all patients, with typical duties including anesthetic induction and monitoring, dental procedures, x-ray development and many other general nursing procedures. Christie lives in Quakertown with her husband Dean and their three children, along with her many kitties. On cold winter nights, Christie sometimes graces us with song using her multiplatinum voice.

Tionne, Certified Veterinary Technician

Tionne completed her training as a Certified Animal Health Technician from Lehigh Northhampton County Community College in 2002. She joined our staff the same year. Tionne shares the technician duties with Linda and Christie. In addition, she has a wide range of experience in working with exotic pets. Tionne lives in Allentown with her husband Jeremy and their son.

Rayne, Certified Veterinary Technician

Rayne joined our staff in January of 2005. She has a B.S. degree in Mass Communications from James Madison University, and after 8 years as a video producer, she changed careers and completed her training as a Certified Animal Health Technician from Northern Virginia Community College in 2004. Rayne currently lives in Hereford with her husband Kerry, their son Kyon, and their three super dogs. She is active in animal rescue, and has received advanced training in dog behavior issues. Rayne is the head instructor of puppy classes at Perkiomen Animal Hospital.

Janet, Veterinary Technician

Janet first joined Dr. Warner on the staff of Perkiomen Animal Hospital in the late 1970s. She was a "Jill of All Trades" working in the kennel, treatment and reception areas as needed. She returned to PAH in the fall of 2004. Janet loves trailriding & camping in her free time. She lives in Kutztown with her husband and 3 dogs, 3 horses, 4 cats and one goat. She has 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

Tina, Veterinary Technician

Tina joined our staff in September of 2006. She has a special love for difficult cats and has been working with animals for 19 years. She is a life long resident of Boyertown, where she lives with her husband Mark, stepdaughter Maggie and two cats (Cleo and Peanut). Her free time is spent on gardening and home maintenance projects.

Angelina, Veterinary Technician

Angelina joined our staff in February of 2008. She has been a veterinary technician for 13 years in small animal practice, and has received numerous accolades and additional training in the canine field. She received K-9 training certification from Kromerhaus Kennels in 1999, and has been an active member of the Lehigh Valley Schutzhund and Police Association since 1999, of which she was recently voted Vice President of the club. She also recently passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator program and is now a certified CGC evaluator. Angelina lives in the area with her boyfriend Mark and their three dogs: a retired German Shepard, a rescued rottie mix and a Belgian Malinois that is currently in training. Angelina likes to spend quality time with family and friends and enjoys joking around and making people laugh.



Wendy, Veterinary Assistant

Wendy joined our staff in September of 2006. After working as a travel agent for several years, she decided to switch fields and join the veterinary profession. She loves all animals, and is thrilled to be working as a veterinary assistant. She lives in Easton and has 2 daughters. She has 2 dogs, 1 cat and a horse.



Nathan, Kennel Attendant

Nathan joined our staff in August of 2004. He enjoys working with the animals and makes sure all of our guests are well cared for, and if something or someone is messy, it gets cleaned up. In his spare time he likes to play the guitar, flute, keyboard, violin or any other instrument he can figure out! He is considering pursuing a career in veterinary medicine, but if music superstardom comes first, the choice may be difficult - or will it?

Joan, Client Service Representative

Joan has been on our staff since 1991 providing the friendly, caring face behind the telephone and the reception desk. She, along with the other receptionists are the workhorses of our hospital, involved with scheduling appointments, greeting clients, admitting and discharging patients, managing invoices, filling prescriptions, and interpreting the unique code that is Dr. Pulice's handwriting. Joan currently lives in North Wales with her husband and three children. She enjoys her four legged children and is a proud supporter and worker bee of the North Penn Marching Knights.


Cindy, Client Service Representative

Cindy has been with us since 1998. You will usually see her during our evening office hours and weekends. She lives in East Greenville with her husband Bob, and their two daughters. In addition to her full time job as a receptionist and a mother, she enjoys giving Dr. Pulice a hard time, snowmobiling and going on motorcycle trips with her husband.

Annette, Client Service Representative

Annette joined our staff in 1996. Her enthusiasm and hard work help to get us going on those busy Monday mornings.  She lives in Quakertown with her husband Ken and their three children.  She enjoys cycling, camping, reading, crocheting and supporting all the activities her children are involved in.

Becky, Client Service Representative

Becky has been part of our staff since 2001. She usually shares the evening receptionist duties with Cindy and Sharon. Becky lives in East Greenville with her husband Robin and their two children. She enjoys

Jen, Client Service Representative

Jen joined our staff in September of 2007. She enjoys working with all animals and people, and is currently studying wildlife conservation. She lives in Pennsburg with her husband Larry and her daughter Emily, and their seven furry children.

Cheryl, Client Service Representative

Cheryl joined our staff in July of 2006. She resides in East Greenville with her  husband Marc, her daughter Jaclyn and two step-sons, Cole and Mason. She enjoys walking, fishing, boating, gardening, trips to the poconos and spending quality time with family & friends.  And most of all, she loves watching Eagles football!
