About Us

Our Mission
Our goal is to offer exceptional veterinary services, from preventive care to specific medical and surgical needs, with professionalism, knowledge, and compassion.

Our Philosophy
The Philosophy of Perkiomen Animal Hospital’s staff is to provide the highest quality care and service for your pets. Our goal is to help our clients become better educated on the health and preventative care of their pets. We understand your pet is a big part of the family and we share in your compassion and love for them.

Our History
Perkiomen Animal Hospital has been serving the Upper Perkiomen Valley and surrounding communities for more than 50 years. Established in 1956 by Robert N. Warner, DVM, Perkiomen Animal Hospital was purchased by Dominick A. Pulice, VMD, in 1989. Dr. Pulice received his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1986. Our vision is to maintain the high level of excellence in small animal care that you have come to expect.

Our Services

Perkiomen Animal Hospital also has several specialists that see patients at our facility. In addition, we are within a one hour drive of several major referral centers.

Emergency Services
Emergency Service is available on a 24-hour basis. An after hours call is handled by our answering service and the message and phone number are forwarded to the veterinarian on call. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Boarding Services
Our hospital provides boarding in our clean, well-ventilated kennel. Animals are hand-walked outside several times a day. We maintain a strict "no flea" policy and check for fleas before admitting any animal to our facility. Any animal deemed to have a severe flea infestation will be treated with appropriate charges incurred. Pets must also be up-to-date on vaccinations. In addition, we recommend a bath before your animal goes home. Admission and discharge are during regular hospital hours.

Accreditation
In 1992, Perkiomen Animal Hospital first earned accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). To achieve this distinction, the hospital voluntarily participated in a comprehensive, quality assessment of its facility, equipment, practice methods and pet health care management. Our AAHA accreditation shows our commitment to excellence, as well as the high standards that we uphold. Less than 14 percent of the small animal facilities in the United States are accredited members of this association. In order to maintain hospital member accreditation, the hospital must be evaluated regularly by the association’s trained consultants. Perkiomen Animal Hospital is proud to have recently earned a three-year accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association.

Fees/Payments
We make every effort to ensure that our fees are fair and reasonable. We encourage you to discuss fees before services are provided. Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. We accept cash, most major credit cards, and checks with proper personal identification.
