Perkiomen Animal Hospital thanks our entire staff for their continued dedication to our clients and their pets. Their efforts throughout this very difficult time have been incredible to witness and we are so very proud of each of them. They continue to exceed all expectations to bring you the very best in-patient care.
As news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community continues to develop, please know that we are monitoring the situation closely.
At this time there is no known correlation between humans and pets from this disease. It is important to note that while the CDC and other health authorities have indicated that dogs, cats, and other domestic animals are not considered at risk for contracting COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of humans within our facilities— notably our clients and staff. At this time we are not permitting clients into the practice. Upon arrival we ask that you pull into a numbered parking space and check in by either text at 724-245-3243 or by phone at 215-679-7019. Please make certain to include your pet’s name and your last name along with the number of your parking spot. Once we are ready for the appointment you will be instructed by staff where to admit your pet for his or her appointment before returning to your vehicle. For the safety of all clients, patients, and staff we ask that you return to your vehicle and not congregate outside of any entrances to ensure all pets are safely checked in for their appointments.
The doctor will call you during the consult to review your pet’s condition and treatment plan as well as any recommended medications. You can make payment by credit card by phone from your vehicle at the end of your appointment. The technician will then meet with you again to return your pet to you along with any medications or paperwork.
To help facilitate your pet’s visit we ask that you please request any needed medication refills when you schedule your appointment so that they are ready ahead of your appointment. Also, we ask that you email any paperwork that you have ahead of your pet’s appointment to email@example.com. Your cooperation with this will help to ensure that your pet is back to you as soon as possible in order to help further reduce any anxiety or stress.
If you are sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms and have an upcoming appointment please have a family member or friend take your pet to the appointment instead.
