Perkiomen Animal Hospital thanks our entire staff for their continued dedication to our clients and their pets. Their efforts throughout this very difficult time have been incredible to witness and we are so very proud of each of them. They continue to exceed all expectations to bring you the very best in-patient care.
As news of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in our community continues to develop, please know that we are monitoring the situation closely.
At this time there is no known correlation between humans and pets from this disease. It is important to note that while the CDC and other health authorities have indicated that dogs, cats, and other domestic animals are not considered at risk for contracting COVID-19, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the health and safety of humans within our facilities— notably our clients and staff. Clients are permitted into the hospital, provided that a face mask is worn for the complete visit. For scheduled appointments we ask that you check-in upon arrival by calling us at 215-679-7019. We will then direct you to an available exam room, to limited seating in the lobby, or call you back once we are ready for your appointment.
We ask for your cooperation with your visit by requesting any prescription refills ahead of the appointment so that they are ready upon checkout. We also ask that you email ahead of time all necessary paperwork for your pet’s visit so that it is available for the doctor and staff at the time of the appointment. You may send this to email@example.com. This will help to reduce any additional anxiety or stress with your pet by avoiding any unnecessary wait time so that you can both be on your way.
It is very important to note that we will continue to offer curbside appointments upon request. We want your visit to be as safe and stress-free as possible for everyone, especially for your pets. Simply let our team member know when scheduling your appointment or upon check-in.
If you are arriving to the hospital for anything other than a scheduled appointment (Medication refill, prescription diet pickup, etc.) please know that you may proceed directly to our reception desk inside our main lobby. There is no need to call or check-in upon arrival.
If you are sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms and have an upcoming appointment please have a family member or friend take your pet to the appointment instead. If you or a member of your household has been tested for Covid and you have not yet received your results please share that with us when scheduling your appointment as well as upon arrival to the hospital. By working together we can keep everyone as safe as possible.
